‘Performance Beyond Compliance’

Having recently carried out their second site visit, the Considerate Constructors Scheme has awarded the St John’s Wood site with a score which exceeds the requirements set out by the scheme.

The scheme seeks to improve the image of construction by setting standards and monitoring registered sites for compliance. Primrose achieved 8/10 or ‘excellent’ in three of the five individual categories which make up the assessment. With all five categories achieving at least 7/10 or ‘Very good’, the site has been awarded with a certificate of Performance Beyond Compliance

Necessity compels!

After a suffering a major mechanical breakdown on route to a site meeting, Director Steve, shows us he’s not easily detained.

“The engine died but I managed to coast into a pay and display bay. Then I spotted the Boris bikes and thought, I can still make it.”

Well done Steve, the over-shoes are particularly fetching!

Construction Ambassador

Primrose founder, Sean, has been recognised as a Construction Ambassador by CITB-Construction Skills.

After being approached by the CITB earlier this year, Sean was delighted to take on the role which seeks to encourage young people into the industry.

The main aim of a Construction Ambassador is to help build a positive image of the construction industry through visiting schools, colleges and higher education institutions to promote the construction industry as an attractive career option.

“I want to inspire young people and help them see the wide range of opportunities that the construction industry offers. Our industry represents 8% of GDP and employes 2.6 million people. In my view, the opportunities within the sector are boundless!” – Sean Carter.
