Approach to protecting the environment is “Excellent”

The Kensington basement project had its first visit from the Considerate Constructors Scheme monitor this week.

Primrose achieved 8 out of 10, which equates to an ‘Excellent’ score, in the category of ‘Protecting the Environment’.

The monitor’s report noted ‘The environment policy gives clear direction on how the company is contributing to the environment. Good practice is seemingly high reflecting the policy. Founder Sean was pleased with the result: ‘8 out of 10? Not bad for their first site assessment!’

A safe site is no accident

Steady, carefully phased and above all safe. The complicated excavations underway at our Kensington and Belgravia projects are, by their very nature, dangerous.

Founders, Steve and Sean, place a strong emphasis on site safety and insist that our partners and sub-contractors adopt a similar approach.

During a recent surprise inspection by the health and safety executive, the site manager was commended for his attentiveness to safety matters. The HSE regularly inspects central London construction sites, particularly projects involving excavation, and if safety and welfare standards are not being met the site can be shut down.
