Garden Room for Catherine

This is the second stand-alone garden room Primrose have completed during lockdown. The government advice to the construction industry is now clear, carry on working if you can do so safely. Primrose have put in place stringent site operating procedures that allow us to build our garden rooms while observing social distancing.

The garden room below, for Catherine, will be used partly as a den for the kids and partly for working from home. When directly compared with Green Retreats, this project was under 13% cheaper and was delivered within four weeks of order placement.

The design contemporary and unfussy. Canadian cedar cladding with minimal profile aluminium bi-fold doors and grey composite decking mean this building will last upwards of 30 years.

Garden Gym for Tom and Georgia

In mid-March 2020, Primrose Projects faced a dilemma; how can we keep our teams busy without sending people into London on public transport? Before the pandemic, a typical project for Primrose would be a six month residential refurbishment in London – even longer for retrofit basement projects. Our London sites often have fifteen people on site at one time making the idea of social distancing a fantasy.

Our solution was to diversify. Primrose have constructed many garden rooms in the past but usually part of a wider building project. With an increase in people working from home and a need for us all to social distance, the idea that Primrose could offer garden room construction as a stand-alone service was born.

The garden room shown below is the first project undertaken in Abbots Langley as part of our ‘10% offer’. We promise to beat the national garden room companies by 10%. In addition, we can do any associated building or landscaping works using local tradespeople.

Primrose is still very much a high-end residential contractor, but now with the added benefit of offering market-beating garden rooms. This one cost less than £20k and was completed in three weeks with only a one week mobilisation period from placing of order.
